Street Maintenance:
Snow Removal, Mowing, Paving and Maintenance of Streets. Street Ordinance 95-13 an Ordinance prescribing the criteria for the dedication of newly constructed streets to the City of Leitchfield.

Sidewalks: Construction and Maintenance

Transfer Station: Accepts solid waste, appliances, tires, construction and demolition debris and yard waste. Phone: (270) 259-6363

Animal Control: Enforces Ordinances pertaining to animals in the City – Maintains the Animal Shelter. The shelter is operated by the Grayson County Humane Society at 213 William Thomason Byway – (270) 230-8839. Waste Management

The City of Leitchfield provides residential curbside recycling collection; commercial recycling collection and provides a conveniently located recycling drop-off center at 121 West White Oak Street.

The City of Leitchfield has a long-term contract with Ohio County Balefill for solid waste disposal. The City of Leitchfield provides residential, commercial and light industrial collection of solid waste. Various solid waste haulers provide heavy industrial collection. Upon collection, waste is taken to the City of Leitchfield’s Solid Waste Transfer Station. Waste is loaded onto 20-yard walking-floor-trailers and transported to Ohio County Balefill for disposal.

Park Rental Agreement must be completed and presented to Leitchfield City Hall with payment. Reservations are not confirmed until payment is received at Leitchfield City Hall. Reservations are made on a first come first serve basis and are accepted per calendar year starting January 1 of each year. Reservations are required for large pavilion area located at James D. Beville Park and do not include the softball complex. All other pavilions are on a first come first serve basis. Questions call City Hall at 270-259-4034.
